We still don’t know a lot about what’s going on with Jon Jones’ fighting career as 2020 comes to a close. While the GOAT contender and former #1 P4P fighter has said he’s taking time to bulk up for a heavyweight run, he’s also thrown the possibility of a return to light heavyweight. There’s also his beef with Israel Adesanya, which has culminated in Adesanya saying he’s coming for Jones in 2021.

The UFC has remained conspicuously silent on “Bones” returning from retirement, with Dana White repeating that there have been no talks between Jones and the company for months. He is down for Jones vs. Adesanya at least.

Until then, Jones can continue to entertain us on social media. Last weekend he went ham over Khabib Nurmagomedov taking the pound for pound #1 spot in the official UFC rankings, a position he’s held onto for years. This weekend he’s sharing security cam footage of himself chasing someone off his property with a shotgun.

“Ended up tapping on this guys driver side window with the muzzle of my shotgun last night,” Jones wrote. “Next time you try to rob someone, make sure you’re fast enough to out run them. He’s lucky I’m smart enough to not shoot a man while he’s retreating. Young people, I know times are getting hard but your life isn’t worth a few material possessions.”

We doubt this alleged robber knew whose house he was attempting to burgle, because this ain’t no “Lionheart” household. Jones is known around Albuquerque for having a pretty decent variety of guns. Lean out the window on the right night and maybe you’ll hear him firing one off. At what? At who? At the night? It’s unclear.

Fortunately for this person in the security cam footage, Jones doesn’t take a shot … because it’s illegal to shoot a robber in New Mexico if they’re fleeing and Jones is too smart to do that.
