Check out the betting lines for likely 205-pound matchup between middleweight champ, Israel Adesanya, and light heavyweight champ, Jan Blachowicz.
The UFC’s president, Dana White, has come out and said that the next mission for the promotion’s middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya, will be to move up in weight to challenge Jan Blachowicz for his 205-pound strap. Well, online gambling site SportsBetting.com has dropped betting odds for this potential champion vs. champion collision.
It is “The Last Stylebender” who opened up as a strong betting favorite, and his moneyline can be wagered on at a cost of -250. A $100 bet on Izzy would win you $40 plus your $100 back. As for Blachowicz, he is being offered up as a +210 underdog. So, a $100 wager on Jan would win you $210 plus your initial $100 back.
Adesanya is sporting a blemish-free record of 20-0, and is fresh off of a dominant dismantling of Paulo Costa this past March. That was the 185-pound champ’s second title defense. After Jon Jones vacated his light heavyweight belt, the now 27-8 Blachowicz stepped in and stopped Dominick Reyes to capture the vacant title this past September. Adesanya would be Jan’s first title defense.
