The UFC will continue to make video games with EA Sports until 2030.
EA Sports have announced they will extend their video game partnership with the UFC.
A press release from Business Wire earlier this week revealed the news. Electronic Arts first partnered with the UFC to make their first video game back in 2014. They have since released three games with the latest in the franchise being EA Sports UFC 4 in August 2020.
Before EA Sports partnered with the promotion, the UFC partnered with THQ to release the UFC Undisputed series of video games up until 2012.
Tracey Bleczinski, senior vice president of the UFC’s global consumer products, said the promotion are “thrilled” to continue their partnership with EA for another decade.
“We’re thrilled that we will continue our partnership with EA for the next 10 years,” Bleczinski said in the release. “EA SPORTS has become a natural extension of UFC’s brand and an important way to engage with our fans.
“We’ve just launched our most successful game to date and EA keeps proving there’s room to grow and introduce new fans to the sport. We’re going to keep pushing the boundaries together and make incredible games that UFC fans love to play.”
EA SPORTS UFC 4 holds a favorable review score of 83 on the website Metacritic.
