UFC Vegas 13 odds: Santos favored to get a KO

Check out the betting odds for tonight’s UFC Vegas 13 card, where Thiago Santos is favored to finish Glover Teixeira in the main event.

It’s fight day for UFC Vegas 13, which kicks off tonight from the promotion’s APEX facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. The top of the billing is getting a top-tier light heavyweight tilt between the #1 ranked, Thiago Santos, and the #3 Glover Teixeira. Bloody Elbow is here to provide the betting lines for this key 205-pound matchup as well as for the rest of the card’s lineup.

The oddsmakers have sided with the returning Santos here. Coming off of double knee injuries following his razor thin split decision loss to then champ Jon Jones at UFC 239, “Marreta” is sitting as a -225 betting favorite here. A $100 wager of Thiago would win you $44.44 plus your $100 back. That leaves Glover in the underdog slot. Despite being on the heels of a four-fight winning streak, Teixeira is being offered up as a +205 underdog. A $100 bet on Teixeira would win you $205 on top of getting your initial $100 wager back.

The over/under for this five-round main event has been set at 1.5 rounds. The ‘Over’ option is favored with a moneyline of -152, with a +137 comeback on the ‘Under’ wager.

It’s hard for anyone too see these two light heavyweights fighting for a full 25-minutes without a finish manifesting at some point before the end of the fifth round. That’s why the prop bet ‘Fight doesn’t go to decision’ is sporting a hefty favored line of -350, with the ‘Fight goes to decision’ option on deck at sizable underdog mark of +260.

The bookies have pegged the 36-year-old Santos as more likely than the 41-year old Teixeira to come up with the fight-ending sequence. Gamblers can find the exotic bet ‘Santos wins inside distance’ at a favored tick of -145, with ‘Not Santos inside distance’ rocking a slight plus line of +115. Going back the other way, the ‘Teixeira wins inside distance’ bet possesses longer odds at +285, with ‘Not Teixeira inside distance’ owning a heavily favored line of -375.

Going one step further, the odds favor Santos winning by way off knockout. The proposition ‘Santos wins by TKO/KO’ comes at a cost of -140, with ‘Any other result’ at even money. Keep in mind that the Santos by knockout line doesn’t appear to be enticing enough to divert from the less riskier prop of ‘Santos wins inside distance’ at the aforementioned odds of -145. The bookies aren’t giving Glover much of a chance of winning by knockout. The ‘Teixeira wins by TKO/KO’ prop bet is currently resting at a lofty underdog altitude of +694, with ‘Any other result’ residing deep in the sunken place at -1480.
