Shortly after making quick work of Jamey Simmons at last Saturday’s (Nov. 7, 2020) event in Las Vegas, Nevada, Giga Chikadze asked for a quick turnaround, preferably against hard-hitting Featherweight Jeremy Stephens.
Now, “Lil’ Heathen” has accepted Chikadze’s callout on social media, saying that he’d be more than willing to be his huckleberry, as long as Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) can book the fight in December of this year.
“Nice fight Giga Chikadeze, I accept for December butt cheeks let’s go UFC,” he wrote on Twitter. Stephens hasn’t competed since getting knocked out by Calvin Kattar at UFC 249 this past summer, which was his fourth loss in last five outings.
Chikadze, on the other hand, just keeps on winning as his victory over Simmons was his seventh in a row. If UFC officials agree to make this fight, it will be Chikadze’s fifth fight of 2020, all in the span of just 10 months.
With the promotion losing several fights for cards in December (examples here and here), booking this contest to end the year sure would be a welcome addition.
