Khamzat Chimaev thinks he’s ready for a title fight.

Khamzat Chimaev is currently booked to fight Leon Edwards at UFC Fight Night 186, but that hasn’t stopped the dual-division competitor from calling out the likes of Kamaru Usman and Israel Adesanya.

Chimaev (9-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC) made his UFC debut in July but already thinks he has what it takes to dethrone both Usman and Adesanya, with the Russian-Swedish fighter recently calling out ‘The Last Stylebender’ on social media.

“You want to fly? @stylebender,” Chimaev posted along with a video clip of his highlight reel slam against Mzwandile Hlongwa at Brave CF 27 in 2019 (full fight here).

Chimaev continued to tease the reigning UFC middleweight champ with the following Tweet.

Adesanya last fought at UFC 253, where he TKO’d Paulo Costa to retain his middleweight title. The Nigerian-New Zealander is now expected to move up in weight to challenge light heavyweight titleholder Jan Blachowicz in hopes of becoming a simultaneous two-division champion.

Chimaev, 26, will take on Edwards in the UFC Fight Night 186 main event on Dec. 19 at the UFC APEX center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
