Jon Jones says he couldn’t care less about Israel Adesanya vs. Jan Blachowicz.

UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya has spent the last few weeks trolling Jon Jones about his move up to light heavyweight, but the former light heavyweight king isn’t fazed in the slightest.

Jones vacated his light heavyweight title earlier this year and is expected to move up in weight to challenge Stipe Miocic for the heavyweight title. Adesanya, on the other hand, will take on newly-crowned champ Jan Blachowicz for the light heavyweight title, but Jones couldn’t care less about the result.

“Truly don’t care man, nothing is bigger for me than heavyweight gold,” Jones said when asked about Blachowicz vs. Adesanya.

Adesanya has even teased of a move up to heavyweight if Jones wins the title, but Jones says the undefeated middleweight champ is selling ‘wolf tickets’ and has no intention of ever fighting him.

“You guys can believe that shit if you want to. He was too afraid to fight me at light heavyweight, now you actually believe he’ll meet me to HW. Love how you guys eat that silly shit up, keep buying those wolf tickets,” Jones posted.

Jones is expected to make his heavyweight debut next year, but no date or opponent has been announced. Adesanya, too, is expected to take on Blachowicz in 2021, but nothing has been made official. In fact, Dana White recently hinted that Glover Teixeira could go on to challenge Blachowicz for the title instead, with the UFC president giving the Brazilian the nod of approval following his submission victory over Thiago Santos at UFC Vegas 13.
