UFC 255 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the sixth and final episode for this weekend’s big show in UFC Apex, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.
We start off in Alex Perez’s room. He says that this is the best weight cut he’s had so far. He does a bit of sweating as Marlon Vera watches on. Vera is laughing about Perez having to do this now, but he knows he’ll have to do it again in a few weeks.
Over at Apex, Valentina Shevchenko is preparing for the end of her cut. Her coach says both sisters don’t have to cut much.
Official weigh-in time. Perez is first on the scale. 124.5. Valentina is next. 124.5 as well. Flyweight champ Deiveson Figueiredo is up next. 125 on the dot. Finally it’s Jennifer Maia. 124.5. No mention of Mike Perry not even coming close to making weight.
Now it’s the face-offs. Shevchenko and Maia shake hands. Figueiredo is a bit theatrical, wearing sunglasses initially and bobbing back and forth. He takes them off and flinches a bit at Perez, who doesn’t move a muscle. No mention of
