“The Suga Show” will attempt to rebound on his first professional loss at UFC 258 next year.

After the first defeat of his professional career, Sean O’Malley says he is planning to return the Octagon at UFC 258 on February 13th.

O’Malley (12-1) was stopped in the first-round by Marlon Vera at UFC 252 in August. “Suga” suffered an ankle injury in the fight and ended up being finished by elbows and punches by Vera. Despite the loss, O’Malley responded to his critics by saying that on paper he lost, but “mentally” he didn’t lose the fight.

The 26-year-old bantamweight teased his return to the octagon in a recent Instagram post.

O’Malley quickly become one of the most popular fighters on the UFC roster after impressing on Dana White’s contender series and winning his first four fights in the promotion. His most impressive win was a KO against Eddie Wineland in June, a one-punch finish that earned O’Malley a $50,000 bonus.

According to former UFC middleweight Chael Sonnen, O’Malley was supposed to compete in a grappling match for Submission Underground this December. His opponent was rumoured to be Bellator fighter James Gallagher, but O’Malley turned down the fight.

No opponent has yet been announced for O’Malley’s planned return on February 13th.
