It seems that Chi Lewis-Parry’s UFC career is over before it even begun.
Chi Lewis-Parry will have to wait a long time if he is to ever step foot into the Octagon, as the UFC athlete has been suspended for four years by USADA.
USADA announced the suspension Friday after a hearing that took place on Nov. 10. The accomplished heavyweight kickboxer Lewis-Parry was in the UFC’s testing pool despite not having a fight lined up.
Drostanolone, stanozolol metabolites and dehydrochloromethyltestosterone metabolites (DHCMT) were all the substances that Lewis-Parry tested positive for in relation to a test taken in September 2019.
The test failure wasn’t the only discovery USADA found. The anti-doping agency also uncovered that Lewis-Parry “presented falsified evidence, specifically an adulterated supplement”. The 37-year-old claimed his failed test was the result of a tainted supplement.
Lewis-Parry (9-2) last fought in September when he finished former UFC light heavyweight Fabio Maldonado under the UAE Warriors promotion. Parry was a training partner of former two-weight UFC champion Daniel Cormier’s, the Brit is remembered for a spat he had with Jon Jones.
