Zane Simon & Eddie Mercado are back to breakdown the ‘UFC VEGAS 16: ‘HERMANSSON VS. VETTORI’ event, which was broadcast from Las Vegas, Nevada’s #UFCAPEX Center. The guys will have hot takes, possible next fights, as well as reactions to the overall events in the player above, or on our Bloody Elbow Presents YouTube Channel and BE Presents Podcast Network. (SPOILERS…)

Tonight, Saturday, December 5th, 2020, in the main event of UFC VEGAS 16, we had our “third main event” featuring Jack ‘The Joker’ Hermansson, with a 21-5 record, taking on ‘The Italian Dream’ – Marvin Vettori, a slight favorite, with a 15-3 record (which was at one point supposed to be ‘Hermansson vs Till’, and also ‘Hermansson vs Holland’.) Regardless, it not being the intended main event, it turned out to be a hell of a fight. In our co-main event, we had fight veteran OSP, with an impressive 25-14 fight record, squaring off against the up-and-comer, Jamahal ‘Sweet Dreams’ Hill — with an undefeated 8-0 record, which would remain that way.

Overall, this 11-bout card 8-bout card saw three swift finishes in Round 1, no submissions, five exciting KO/TKO’s, & three decisions – one split. Rounding things out, bonuses for putting forth POTN efforts went to Jordan Leavitt and Gabriel Benitez; FOTN honors went to Hermansson vs. Vettori. What a night of fights we have to share with you!

Also on the card, we had an exciting Lightweight bout between Jordan Leavitt and Matt Wiman which entailed a brief 22-seconds of action ending in a KO/TKO via a massive SLAM in the first round. As if that’s not enough action, we had Lightweight veteran, Gabriel ‘Moggly’ Benitez, defeating Justin Jaynes via a Knee to the Body in the first round, as well as a Light Heavyweight Bout, with Roman Dolidze defeating John Allan via SPLIT Decision; which was preceded by a three-bout undercard, featuring a Featherweight Bout, with Ilia Topuria defeating Damon Jackson via Punches in the first round. Join us to discuss all the action…
