Tachi Palace Fights signs 2004 Olympic silver medalist Stephen Abas for MMA debut

Decorated wrestler and 2004 Olympic Games silver medalist Stephen Abas
is set to make his mixed martial arts debut May 5 at Tachi Palace
Fights’ “Cinco de Mayhem” in Lemoore, Calif.

Tachi Palace Fights’ matchmaker, Jeremy Luchau, confirmed the signing
Friday with MMAjunkie.com.

Abas is no stranger to the MMA gym. The 32-year-old California native is
the wrestling coach at The Arena Gym in San Diego, Calif., and works
with MMA veterans Diego Sanchez, Fabricio Camoes, and K.J. Noons.
