After a sensational first-round knockout win over Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza at UFC 256, Kevin Holland wants a quick turnaround against Khamzat Chimaev.
“Big Mouth” Kevin Holland has done it again. On Saturday night at UFC 256, the 28-year-old middleweight scored the biggest win of his career when he knocked out veteran Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza inside one round.
The fight marked Holland’s fifth for 2020, but he isn’t looking to be done yet. During his post-fight conversation with Joe Rogan, “Trail Blazer” issued a callout to Khamzat Chimaev.

“I know my son doesn’t want me to say this right now, but I know Chimaev was supposed to fight on December 19. He fights at ’85 and ’70. Come back up to ’85,” Holland said with a sinister laugh.
“That’s what he does, right? I think I do it better. Who’s fought the most this year?”
Holland also sent out a warning to Chimaev, who switches back and forth between welterweight and middleweight.
“I think he should just stay ’70. I think he can be a champ at 170. But if he comes up here at ’85, I’mma bang that boy up.”
Chimaev was supposed to take his fourth fight for the year against Leon Edwards on December 19. The fight ended up being scrapped after Edwards caught a severe case of COVID-19.
UFC Vegas 17 will now be headlined by welterweights Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson and Geoff Neal.
