“Somebody asked me yesterday, ‘If you could make one fight in 2021, what would it be?’ That’s the fight. That’s my pick.”

Dana White wants 2021 to be the year of the superfights for Jon Jones.

The UFC president not only wants to see Jones challenge the winner of Stipe Miocic vs. Francis Ngannou for the heavyweight title but also take on reigning UFC middleweight champ Israel Adesanya in what would undoubtedly be labelled a superfight for the ages.

Speaking to BT Sport in a recent interview (h/t Nasir Jabbar of Sport Bible), White revealed his dream matchup for 2021.

“Somebody asked me yesterday, ‘If you could make one fight in 2021, what would it be?’ That’s the fight. That’s my pick,” White said.

“That’s the fight I would love to see.”

Jones vacated his UFC light heavyweight title earlier this year and is currently in the process of bulking up to heavyweight, where he is expected to take on the winner of Miocic vs. Ngannou.

Adesanya, meanwhile, will move up in weight to challenge Jan Blachowicz for the light heavyweight title, but no date or venue has been announced as of yet.
