Jake Paul continues to jockey for a fight against Conor McGregor, but is completely uninterested in “unknown” Amanda Nunes.

Jake Paul has turned down Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White’s generous offer to fight double champ Amanda Nunes.

“Nah, I wouldn’t fight her,” Jake told TMZ Sports. “Waste of time. No one knows who she is.”

“She’s the greatest women’s fighter ever,” the TMZ cameraman replied.

“She’s the greatest, but she’s got one million followers on Instagram, s—ty engagement,” Paul countered. “There’s not a lot of hype there. Plus, there’s no history. I wanna knock out Dilon because we’ve been talkin’ s—t back and forth for two years, I’ve hooked up with his girlfriend, he’s all butt-hurt about it. There’s history there. And Dillon is Conor’s best friend, and I ultimately want Conor. So why would I waste my time doing some bulls—t s—t like that?”

“And why does Dana White say, ‘Oh, I don’t want Jake to fight Conor, because Conor is one of the greatest fighters of all time.’ But so is Amanda Nunes? So is he saying women are inferior, maybe? I don’t know what the f—k he’s doing. He’s fumbling on this one. He’s not making sense with what he’s saying.”

Paul finished things off by bringing the conversation back to the $50 million he says he has available in a backer’s bank account.

“And first of all, UFC needs that money,” he said. “That’s $50 million in a bank account. That’s the biggest fight offer that’s ever been put on the title unless it’s Floyd Mayweather.”

It’s big money, but UFC makes big money like that off every Conor McGregor fight. Why would it want to turn the promotion into a complete circus entertaining Jake Paul’s boxing request?

So color us unconvinced that any of this has made Jake Paul vs. Conor McGregor any more likely. Paul vs. Danis? That still sounds pretty likely. Paul vs. Askren? Note that Paul didn’t mention anything about that, despite the rumors of a bout between the two in March. Whatever happens, let’s hope it happens soon. Continuing to cover this without anything of substance coming together sounds like a pretty terrible way to spend 2021 as far as I’m concerned.
