It looks like Mike Perry is once again in some alcohol-related trouble.
To call Mike Perry a troubled soul is probably a nice way of putting it. Over the last year, “Platinum” was involved in a couple of serious legal issues, and admitted to having “an issue with alcohol.”
After a drunken episode at a Texas restaurant in July that ended in Perry punching an older man, the UFC decided to take action. Here’s an excerpt of the company’s official statement at the time.
(Perry) further acknowledged that he believes he has some issues related to alcohol abuse and has informed UFC that he has committed to immediately seek professional treatment, including substance and behavioral counseling.
At this time, UFC has informed Perry that he will not be offered a bout, and the parties have agreed to evaluate next steps for Perry following the completion of his treatment program.
Well, it looks like the 29-year-old is once again in trouble because of his drinking habits. On Sunday night, Perry shared a video of himself lying on the ground next to a broken window. He then panned the camera towards his left leg, which was cut up and covered in blood.

Perry never really said anything about what happened, but some captured Instagram stories from hours earlier should provide some context.
Peep that bottle by his knee. Definitely been drinking. pic.twitter.com/Cu710lhecH

He also went on a Twitter rant that same day, sending a warning to the public.
I’m not free, I don’t have time, I don’t wanna talk , don’t care what you have to say, Im not taking a picture, don’t ask how I’m doing , please leave me alone unless you want to give me money then just give it to me and then you can ask your question. ??

Idc, the fans suck, people suck , they crowd your space , they talk trash behind your back, they offer nothing but a waste of time, I like to be left alone with my little family and that’s all I want. I’m just tweeting these to tell y’all to mind your manners

You’re all rude af, and I’m just the messenger. You think you deserve something for watching fights or you think you know how a fighter should act when you never stepped in the ring. Just remember none of you would talk that shit man to man. Your place is on Twitter #RealWorld

He later gave somewhat of a statement about this most recent episode.
No matter what I do it’s never enough. So I act out. Happy to spill my own blood.

Perry last saw action at UFC 255 in November against Tim Means. He lost via unanimous decision after badly missing weight.
