Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Bantamweight champion T.J. Dillshaw is nearing the end of his two-year suspension after testing positive for Erythropoietin in January of 2018. And the former champion doesn’t have a shortage of challengers ready to welcome him back to the Octagon.

Among them is Rob Font, the dangerous striker out of New England Cartel who is currently enjoying a three-fight win streak. During a recent interview with MMA Junkie, Font talked about Dillashaw’s decision to take a banned substance, and the effect it will have on his mental state knowing he is no longer fighting with the aide of a performance enhancer.

“I’m not going to sit there and bash this dude. It is what it is. He did what he did. He knows what he did. He has to live up to that. He has to make that walk knowing that that’s not in his system anymore, and that’s going to be big,” said Font before stating that it seemed “Viper” mental weakness is what forced him to cheat in the first place.

“Again, it’s all mental with this, so if you’re putting stuff into your body, you’re mentally broke already. So he’s going to have to make that walk knowing that he’s not on anything. He’s not juicing anymore and he’s going to have to fight. I think I’m the guy to welcome him back.”

Font is coming off a stellar knockout win over former 135-pound title contender, Marlon Moraes, giving him his fourth win in last five outings. As for Dillashaw, despite his transgressions and subsequent suspension, he is pining for an immediate title shot
