According to Dana White, both Khabib Nurmagomedov and Georges St-Pierre are not interested in fighting each other.

On Friday, UFC president Dana White and Khabib Nurmagomedov got together in Abu Dhabi to have their heavily-hyped conversation. The topic of discussion was about whether or not the undefeated “Eagle” will come out of retirement and try to make 30-0 a reality.

Zero Hour came and went, but White still didn’t have a definitive answer. All he got was that Khabib wants a “spectacular” showing from either one of the 155-pound contenders on next Saturday’s UFC 257 card before he makes a final decision.

There’s also the conversation about a possible super-fight with two-division champion and future Hall-of-Famer Georges St-Pierre. But according to White, that is no longer an option.

“GSP never came up (in our meeting),” White told media members during the UFC on ABC 1 post-fight presser. “He’s not interested in that fight, and from what I hear today after that, neither is GSP. So that’s over.”

Just a few days ago, St-Pierre went on record and expressed interest in a possible fight with Khabib. In his words, it’s a matchup that “freakin’ excites” him. However, he also stated that “there needs to be a compromise on both sides” for him to agree.

Something must’ve happened behind the scenes that only the people directly involved are privy to. But as of this posting, Georges St-Pierre vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov is off the table, at least according to the bossman.
