Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is LIVE in Abu Dhabi today (Weds., Jan. 20, 2021) for UFC Fight Island 8, featuring a welterweight main event between longtime veterans Michael Chiesa and Neil Magny.
Getting things started on the ESPN/ESPN+ “Prelims” were flyweight competitors Manon Fiorot and Victoria Leonardo. It didn’t take long for the French phenom to find her range, tagging and bagging “Fury” in the latter half of round one.
The result was a standing TKO from referee Lukasz Bosacki.
Fiorot (6-1) was making her Octagon debut against Leonardo (8-3), who was considered a promising prospect after her stint on Dana White’s “Contender Series.” And I know it’s early, but the 125-pound weight class is desperately in need of new contenders.
