Dustin Poirier dominates Conor McGregor in the UFC record book ahead of UFC 257 rematch
The first meeting between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier took place on the pay-per-view portion of the UFC 178 fight card. That event happened on September 27, 2014. McGregor won the featherweight fight by knockout in the first round. The two meet for the second time on Saturday in the lightweight main event of UFC 257.
The weight division is not the only thing that has changed for the two combatants over time. Both fighters have held UFC titles, with McGregor winning belts at 145 and 155 pounds and Poirier capturing an interim lightweight crown. McGregor did not attempt to defend either of his titles. Poirier lost to Khabib Nurmagomedov in a title unification bout.
Both fighters also have their names in the UFC record book in multiple weight divisions. Before McGregor and Poirier face each other for a second time, take a look at where they appear in the official UFC record book.
UFC 257 takes place at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi on Saturday. The main card streams on ESPN+ pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and ESPN+ and early prelims on ESPN+ and UFC Fight Pass.
