We’ve purchased the ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV) and with it our dynamic tag team duo, Matt Ryan and Harry Terjanian, will deliver the best possible ‘radio style’ play-by-play broadcast imaginable throughout UFC 257’s main card, starting at 10 p.m. ET in the video player below!

For the third time in seven days, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is having a fight card on the place once known as “Fight Island” in Abu Dhabi, but now that the promotion can have fans again, it has gotten rid of that sham of an idea. UFC 257, which takes place TONIGHT (Sat., Jan. 23, 2021) from inside Ethiad Arena, is different than the other two cards. Aside from a fighter getting fired the day of the weigh-ins (details), Conor McGregor — the biggest star in the sport — helms the ESPN+-streamed pay-per-view (PPV) main event opposite Dustin Poirier.

Much like the groundhog not seeing its shadow, the New York Mets having a winning season and an episode of “Big Bang Theory” making me laugh, this rare appearance of McGregor brings us to more questions than answers.

“Notorious” is fighting Poirier (you already know this), who he has already knocked out once before (watch it). McGregor fans (who are the New York Yankee fans of MMA) is the talking point, for everyone else, they see Dustin’s path of destruction and rise at 155 pounds since that loss, while McGregor has pulled a Terry Funk and made retirement into his word for vacation.

Will McGregor knockout Poirier later tonight? Possibly. Will Poirier drop McGregor … probably not. Will we all have fun tonight watching these two maniacs battle for a shot at the 155-pound crown that still technically is held by Khabib Nurmagomedov?

Yes.

Watch live tonight as Harry Terjanian and I call the action, while Stephanie Sottile moderates, Olive ponders why her dad is screaming and Dan A. White waits in the background like a panther in the darkest parts of the jungle.

You will not be disappointed.
