There was a lot of bitching about the price increase ahead of UFC 257, which came just in time for the pay-per-view (PPV) return of Conor McGregor, but I’m pretty sure most MMA fans got their money’s worth after all was said and done. The main card produced four violent finishes inside Etihad Arena on “Fight Island” in Abu Dhabi.
Including Dustin Poirier’s upset win over Conor McGregor.
In addition, former Bellator MMA 155-pound champion Michael Chandler put the lightweight division on notice by smashing No. 6-ranked Dan Hooker, while Marina Rodriguez announced her arrival at 115 pounds with her finish over Amanda Ribas. And let’s not forget Makhmud Muradov’s destruction of Andrew Sanchez.
