Final WEC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis was guaranteed a title shot, but after a January meeting between UFC titleholder Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard ended in a stalemate, the duo was booked for another fight.

He chose the latter, and new opponent Clay Guida – whom he meets tonight at The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale – has every intention of leapfrogging in the contender pecking order.
