Wondering what happened to the now-infamous UFC 257 streamer? Dana White has some answers.

We’ve all been following this mini-saga between Dana White and an alleged unauthorized streamer of Saturday’s UFC 257 fight card. The UFC president claimed to have identified the individual, whom he supposedly placed under surveillance during the days leading up to the event.

White was asked about it during his post-fight scrum on Saturday. According to him, the unnamed person eventually folded and released a statement online.

“He put out a statement that night,” White told the media. “He said, ‘I will not be streaming the McGregor vs. Poirier anymore. But I will show you how to buy it legally.’ And now his whole streaming service has been deleted and it’s gone. Disappeared. One down, and a shitload to go.

“Every event, I’m gonna go after one of these guys. Or more. We’ll see.

“And who you are, guy that did this, good move. We had you, pal. I don’t know if he knew something or what, but we had you. And all you had to do was pop up that stream and you were in big trouble. He did the right thing.”

Well, Dana wasn’t totally lying, but he did fail to mention the other half of the statement. It seems like the statement was just a message on a Discord chat, teaching people how to use a VPN and watch the event for free.

Even with White’s threats, many may have turned to unauthorized streaming services after ESPN’s online broadcast became problematic throughout the first half of the main card. But according to White, the issues were “mostly on the West Coast.” Nonetheless, he confidently stated that UFC 257 was easily a “top two all-time” event.
