Cory Sandhagen and Frankie Edgar faced off in a Bantamweight clash tonight (Sat., Feb. 6, 2021) inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada at UFC Vegas 18.
Edgar stalked his foe early, landing with a low kick. OUT OF NOWHERE, SANDHAGEN JUMPED INTO A FLYING KNEE THAT PUT HIS FOE TO SLEEP! HOLY SH*T!!!
No one has ever done Frankie Edgar like this. Sandhagen just dusted the legendary veteran like he wasn’t even there, and he did it with a perfectly timed flying strike! “The Sandman” has now scored conseuctive knockout wins via spinning hook kick and jump knee respectively — that’s how you recover from a loss to get back in the title mix!
This also stands as a really unfortunate, painful end to Edgar’s Bantamweight title dreams.
28 seconds.
Result: Cory Sandhagen defeats Frankie Edgar via first-round knockout
