Askar Askar will not be fighting for Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in the near future. Originally scheduled to make his Octagon debut at UFC Vegas 18 last Saturday night (Feb. 6, 2021) against Cody Stamann in Las Vegas, Nevada, Askar was forced out of the fight after making weight due to not getting medically cleared to fight by Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC).
Now, the promotion has outright released Askar from his contract, according to TSN’s Aaron Bronsteter.
Am told that Askar Askar has been released from the UFC after not being medically cleared to compete this past weekend against Cody Stamann.
He is seeking medical clearance to resume competition sometime this week and hopes to get re-signed in the near future.

Askar is currently 10-1 in his mixed marital arts (MMA) career, fighting for various organizations around the globe over the past five years with seven stoppage victories on his resume.
While the exact medical issues that forced him out of his first-ever UFC bout were not revealed, the hopes are that he can get his health right before mounting his combat comeback in the near future, and perhaps sign with UFC at a later date.
