It is unknown at this point whether Green’s fight with Jim Miller will remain on the card.
We may have another fight nixed from Saturday’s UFC 258 lineup.
According to Dana White at Friday’s media scrum, lightweight veteran Bobby Green collapsed backstage shortly after the official weigh-ins. Green did make weight at 156 lbs for his main card bout vs. Jim Miller, but he was the last to weigh-in out of the card’s 24 competitors.
White added that doctors were attending to Green but provided no further details on the status of the Miller bout, but if it’s cancelled then the promotion will have to bump another prelim up to the main card, just as they did for this very fight after Pedro Munhoz vs. Jimmie Rivera was postponed.
It should be noted that Green (27-11-1) and Miller both accepted this matchup on short notice less than two weeks ago, shortly after the postponement of the original co-main event between Chris Weidman vs. Uriah Hall. Green’s previous appearance inside the Octagon was a somewhat controversial unanimous decision defeat vs. Thiago Moises back in October.
Hopefully he’s alright, and we’ll keep you up to date on whether or not Green vs. Miller is still on for Saturday.
