A rematch between Jimmie Rivera and Pedro Munhoz has been rescheduled to go down at the upcoming UFC Vegas 20 event on Feb. 27, 2021 inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada. The bout was set to go down last Saturday night at UFC 258 but was pulled from the card due to COVID-19.
The two talented Bantamweights initially three down five years ago, which saw Rivera defeat Munhoz via split decision. Munhoz is in desperate need of a win after suffering back-to-back losses at the hands of Frankie Edgar and Aljamain Sterling.
Rivera, on the other hand, is coming off a big win over Cody Stamann last July on “Fight Island,” snapping his previous two fight losing streak to Sterling and current 135-pound title holder Petr Yan.
UFC Vegas 20 is set to be headlined by a pivotal Heavyweight showdown between Jairzinho Rozenstruik and Ciryl Gane. Also on the card, Alex Caceres takes on Kevin Croom205 while Magomed Ankalaev battles Nikita Krylov in Light Heavyweight action.
