A battle of ranked light heavyweights is set to go down in mid-March.

A light heavyweight bout that was supposed to go down in December will now be scheduled for a March 13th event. Misha Cirkunov, who pulled out of the original fight with an injury, is good to go now and will face off with Ryan Spann at UFC Vegas 21.

Cirkunov (15-5, 6-3 UFC) has alternated losses and wins over his last four fights. He came out on top in his last outing way back in September 2019 when he submitted Jimmy Crute. He picked up his first performance bonus check for that win.

Spann (18-6, 4-1 UFC) got off to a hot start in the UFC, picking up four straight wins. However in his last outing he was stopped by Johnny Walker in the first round of their September 2020 fight.

Cirkunov is currently ranked at number ten in the official UFC light heavyweight rankings, while Spann sits at 13.

The card also had a featherweight fight added to it, with Charles Jourdain (10-3-1, 1-2-1 UFC) taking on Steve Garcia (12-4, 0-1 UFC).

UFC Vegas 21 was supposed to be headlined by a welterweight bout between Leon Edwards and Khamzat Chimaev. But due to Chimaev’s lingering Covid issues, he was replaced in the bout today by Belal Muhammad.
