Jon Jones is taking his move up to heavyweight very seriously.

It looks like Jon Jones didn’t take Israel Adesanya’s advice about not bulking up to heavyweight, as the former UFC light heavyweight champion recently posted a video in which he lifted over 600 lbs. to showcase his newfound strength at 250 pounds.

‘Bones’ posted the footage on Instagram — check it out below.

“Working my lockout, got to have some power in those hips,” he wrote on Wednesday.

Jones vacated the UFC light heavyweight title last year and is expected to move up in weight to take on the winner of the upcoming heavyweight title bout between Stipe Miocic and Francis Ngannou on March 27.

Jones had previously flirted with a move up to heavyweight during his reign at light heavyweight but a much-teased superfight with WWE superstar Brock Lesnar never came to fruition.

The pound-for-pound king will make his long awaited heavyweight debut later this year in a bid to become the promotion’s next two-division champion and cement his legacy as the greatest fighter in UFC history.
