Reigning Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo is scheduled to rematch top contender Brandon Moreno on June 12, following their majority draw at the UFC 256 pay-per-view (PPV) event last December in Las Vegas.

That’s according to a report from ESPN.

Their first go-round was a competitive affair, but the point deduction from referee Jason Herzog kept “The Assassin Baby” out of the loss column — while overshadowing some questionable scoring from judge Junichiro Kamijo.

A city and venue have yet to be determined at this time but their 125-pound rematch is likely to take place in either Las Vegas (APEX) or Abu Dhabi (Fight Island) as the promotion continues to map out its live events schedule for the remainder of 2021.

Figueiredo remains the odds-on betting favorite.

The winner will likely move on to battle undefeated flyweight contender Askar Askarov later this year, but only if the Russian “Bullet” — who also went to a draw with Moreno — is able to get past Joseph Benavidez at UFC 259.
