Israel Adesanya predicts a flawless victory in his UFC light heavyweight debut.

Israel Adesanya promises a masterclass performance against Jan Blachowicz at UFC 259, telling The Mac Life that he doesn’t expect the much bigger, stronger Blachowicz to even touch him when the cage door closes on Saturday night.

‘The Last Stylebender’ predicts he will put a striking clinic on Blachowicz the same way he methodically picked apart Paulo Costa to retain his middleweight title at UFC 253.

“I’m not getting touched this fight, that’s my plan, not getting touched like I did in the Costa fight. I didn’t get touched in the Costa but like I did in the Costa fight because I didn’t let him touch me in the face at all. Make sure I don’t get hit and watch out for the body kick, Adesanya said” (via BJPENN).

Blachowicz, however, plans to send Adesanya packing back to middleweight and predicts the undefeated champion will crumble once he gets a taste of his ‘legendary Polish power’.

“We do a lot of wrestling so maybe I will take him down. But, I like fighting standup, every fight starts standing. If I have a chance to take him down I will do it. I watched the fight in kickboxing where he got knocked out many times. I will use my striking to knock him out. It’s part of my game plan but you will have to wait until to see the fight. He will feel the Legendary Polish Power, I promise you,” the reigning UFC light heavyweight champ said (via BJPenn).

UFC 259: Blachowicz vs. Adesanya takes place this Saturday, March 6 at the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas, Nevada.
