Jan Blachowicz retained his light heavyweight strap by outlasting current middleweight kingpin Israel Adesanya, not long after women’s featherweight titleholder Amanda Nunes steamrolled Megan Anderson in the UFC 259 co-main event.

The big controversy of the night belonged to former bantamweight champion Petr Yan, who coughed up his 135-pound crown with a disqualification loss to Aljamain Sterling. “No Mercy” threw a blatant illegal knee in a fight he was winning on the scorecards. Expect the promotion to book an immediate rematch at some point within the next few weeks.
