See what happened on the scales ahead of UFC Vegas: Leon Edwards vs. Belal Muhammad.
After a long hiatus Leon Edwards is expected to make his Octagon return this weekend at the UFC APEX. There he’s scheduled to meet Belal Muhammad. Nothing can go wrong now, right?
Edwards was of course supposed to fight Khamzat Chimaev, but we all know what happened there. Now he faces Muhammad with a shot at earning a title fight (according to Dana White).
In the co-main event Misha Cirkunov takes on Ryan Spann in a fight that doesn’t have too much title implication. Before that Dan Ige takes on Gavin Tucker in a slightly more pivotal featherweight tilt. Rounding out the main card are fights between Jonathan Martinez and Davey Grant, Matheus Nicolau and Davey Grant, and Eryk Anders and Darren Stewart.
The prelim card is headlined by a rematch between Angela Hill and Ashley Yoder.
Remember, though, the MMA Gods laugh at best laid plans. In the COVID-19 era we’ve seen many a fight card shuffled at the last minute. So keep an eye on the weigh-ins here to see if any shenanigans force last minute cancellations or replacements.
You can check out a live stream of the weigh-ins right here. The stream will begin at 12 PM ET and it is provided by AG Fight.
