Kevin Holland pokes fun at Israel Adesanya following his loss to Jan Blachowicz.

Israel Adesanya might be the only fighter to hold losses in boxing, kickboxing and MMA according to top-ten UFC middleweight Kevin Holland, who labelled ‘The Last Stylebender’ a ‘true loser’ following his unanimous decision loss to Jan Blachowicz at UFC 259.

Holland says Adesanya looked a little slow in his light heavyweight debut and that he got beat by Blachowicz in every aspect of MMA.

“He said he didn’t try to put on weight, but I think he put on weight. He may have come in at 200 pounds, I think he did a normal weight cut which was smart. That’s the smart thing to do, take it like your normally would take it,” Holland told reporters ahead of his middleweight clash with Derek Brunson at UFC Vegas 22 (h/t MMA Mania).

“He looked a little slower than he normally does “Usually he is faster than that, he didn’t look as fast. Am I wrong? I could be right here, right? He didn’t look as fast as he normally does. He got beat in the striking aspect, he got beat in the grappling aspect, he got beat.

‘Trail Blazer’ also mocked Adesanya for holding onto his middleweight title despite losing to Blachowicz at light heavyweight, claiming that losers don’t deserve championship treatment.

“In a lot of other sports if you are the champ and you lose, you are no longer the champ,” Holland said. “Granted he moved up a weight class, but the dude lost. Is there any other fighters right now that has done just about every combat sport and lost in every combat sport. Is there? So I guess you can say he’s a true loser.”

Adesanya will move back to middleweight to defend his title while Holland will look to crack the top-five with a win over Brunson at the weekend.

UFC Vegas: Brunson vs. Holland takes place Saturday, March 20 at the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas.
