There was a brief exchange between strawweights Cheyanne Buys and Montserrat Ruiz after the final horn of their UFC Vegas 22 fight.
Things got a little heated between strawweights Cheyanne Buys and Montserrat Ruiz as soon as their UFC Vegas 22 fight ended on Saturday. As you’ll see in this video, the two women began jawing at each other right after the final horn.

What wasn’t shown in the clip above was Buys’ parting shot. Here it is:
I’ll follow you home, bitch.

During the post-fight media scrum, Ruiz gave her side of the story. She first gave a little background on where the rift started, then denied rumors that she spat on Buys to initiate the exchange.
“Everything got started when she insulted my wrestling and my takedowns. She said that I have stupid headlocks and stupid takedowns,” Ruiz said through her translator. “And she said that she used to know me. So I proved to her that she didn’t know me. I gave her a little hell so she can taste it.
“I’m not the kind of person that likes to insult other people. I’m a humble girl. But if you touch the wrong buttons, you’re gonna have issues with me.
“No, I didn’t spit on her at all. Probably, it was the momentum. I’m not the kind of person that likes to spit. If you spit on someone, that’s crossing the line. And that wasn’t something I was thinking of doing in my debut.”
Ruiz walked away with the unanimous decision win.
