Conor McGregor vs. Dustin Poirier 3 is coming in July.

The final fight between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier has been finalized for July.

On Friday afternoon, it was reported by Ariel Helwani of ESPN that Poirier officially signed the contract for his third fight with McGregor. The report indicated that McGregor already verbally agreed to the fight, but had not yet signed the contract for it.

That changed the very next day when McGregor took to social media to announce that he too had signed his contract.

“The fight is booked!” wrote McGregor. “July 10th you’re gonna see what the Mac is about. Adjust and absolutely f—king destroy!”

The pair previously met at UFC 178, where McGregor earned a first-round stoppage over Poirier when both men were competing in the featherweight division. Several years later, they would meet again — this time in the lightweight division — and Poirier exacted his revenge on McGregor by finishing him by second-round technical knockout in the main event of UFC 257.

In the aftermath of the second fight, both men made it clear that they would be interested in completing their trilogy. As mentioned by UFC President Dana White, Poirier is in for another big fight and payday by accepting this fight with McGregor over another shot at the vacant lightweight title, which he believed was the right move for the Louisiana native.

As alluded to by McGregor in his social media post, him and his team are focused on making the necessary adjustments to properly handle the calf kicks of Poirier in the next fight. They concluded that part of Poirier’s strategy played a role in his loss in the rematch.

McGregor vs. Poirier 3 is expected to headline UFC 264, but there is no word on the location or venue it will be hosted in. White has mentioned that it could take place in Las Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena, but that has not been made official.
