The Korean Zombie and Dan Ige will headline a Fight Night card on June 19th.
A top featherweight fight will headline a UFC event on June 19th, as The Korean Zombie is set to fight Dan Ige.
ESPN first reported the matchup, though the UFC is yet to confirm the fight. No location or venue has yet has been announced for the card, which is expected to air on an ESPN platform as is standard for Fight Nights.
Jung (16-6) is coming off a decision loss to Brian Ortega last October. Zombie won consecutive performance bonuses for his first-round KO’s against Frankie Edgar and Renato Moicano before his recent loss. The fight with Ige will mark the first of the calendar year for Zombie.
Ige (15-3) recently knocked out Gavin Tucker in just 22-seconds at UFC Vegas 21 last month, taking him to #8 in the official featherweight rankings. ‘Dynamite’ will seek his first win in a UFC main event against Jung after losing out to Calvin Kattar last July. Ige started his UFC career with six consecutive wins.
