After last week’s TNT debut saw Eddie Alvarez lose via disqualification and Demetrious Johnson suffer the first knockout loss of his professional career (watch highlights), ONE Championship will look to get back on track tonight (Weds., April 14, 2021) with a two-fight main card.

If last week was frustrating for the promotion, I can’t imagine what dealing with this week was like. Per Tapology, seven different fights fell through, including former multi-division champion Martin Nguyen’s bout with Jae Woong Kim, Brazilian jiu-jitsu legend Marcus “Buchecha” Almeida’s mixed martial arts (MMA) debut, and Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) veteran Jarred Brooks’ first appearance under the ONE banner.
As it stands, the main event between reigning Lightweight champion Christian Lee and ultra-violent contender Timofey Nastyukhin remains intact, as does a women’s Atomweight Muay Thai bout between Janet Todd and Anne Line Hogstad.

Round one: Lee shoots under a left hook, denied. Nastyukhin lands a leg kick. One minute in. He tries to follow up, only to walk into a left hand that takes his legs out. Lee jumps on him and hammers home punches into the ref steps in.
Final result: Lee def. Nastyukhin by TKO (punches)
Atomweight Muay Thai: Janet Todd vs. Anne Line Hogstad
Round one: Trading kicks to start. Continuing to do so; Hogstad utilizing her height and reach. Halfway through. Low kick exchange, Hogstad tries to go high. Todd combo met by more kicks. More Hogstad kicks, elbow from Todd. Good Todd low kick. Todd combination. 10-9 Todd.
Round two: Hogstad continuing to pick away with kicks. Hard three-piece by Todd. 1-2-body kick from Hogstad. Another body kick. Todd tries a 1-3-head kick. Uppercut connects, teep downstairs. Hogstad tries to go low-high with kicks. Todd with a left hook to head kick. Todd body kick. 10-9 Todd.
Round three: Both women fire combinations, neither land clean. Check hook from Todd. Teep knocks Hogstad on her rear. Another check hook lands clean. They trade body kicks and Todd’s sends Hogstad to her knees. She beats the count, but she’s in rough shape and the ref calls it.
Final result: Todd def. Hogstad by TKO (body kick)
