Amanda Nunes will defend her UFC bantamweight title against Jualianna Pena on Aug. 7.

Amanda Nunes will return to the octagon to defend her bantamweight title against Julianna Pena at UFC 265, per UFC president Dana White.

White confirmed the matchup on Thursday, via ESPN’s Brett Okamoto.

“The Lioness will make her return to the bantamweight division in August. Per Dana White (@danawhite), Amanda Nunes (@Amanda_Leoa) will defend her 135-pound title against Julianna Peña (@VenezuelanVixen) at UFC 265”.

Nunes recently defended her featherweight title with a first-round submission win over Megan Anderson at UFC 259. She is the only female two-division UFC champion in the promotion’s history and is widely considered the greatest female fighter of all time.

Pena is the winner of The Ultimate Fighter 18 and is one of the top female bantamweight fighters in the world. The 31-year-old is 2-2 in her last four fights but is fresh off a third-round submission victory over Sara McCann at UFC 259. She has only lost to Valentina Shevchenko and Germaine de Randamie in the last eight years.

UFC 265, which could feature Nunes vs. Pena as the main event, will take place on Aug. 7 at a TBA location.
