Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has once again tapped Hollywood action veteran Ron Perlman, this time to open the UFC 261: “Usman vs. Masvidal 2” pay-per-view (PPV) event on Sat. night (April 24, 2021) inside VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida.
UFC 261 will be headlined by the 170-rematch between reigning welterweight champion Kamaru Usman and bitter rival Jorge Masvidal, as “Gamebred” attempts to show the combat sports community how a full camp will change the outcome of their first go-round.
In the UFC 261 co-main event, also scheduled for five rounds of action, women’s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko makes her return to the Octagon for a Jessica Andrade title defense, shortly after women’s strawweight queenpin Zhang Weili goes head-to-head with ex-champ Rose Namajunas.
