Check out what happened on the scales ahead of the new PFL season opener.
After going on hiatus in 2020, the PFL is back. PFL 1, the 2021 season opener, goes down tomorrow night with fights from this season’s lightweight and featherweight tournament on tap.
Former WEC and UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis features in the headliner for this event. The first hurdle in his way towards the $1 million grand prize is former UFC fighter, and popular pro boxer, Clay Collard.
Other notable fighters featured in this one includes two-time PFL winner Lance Palmer (who fights Bubba Jenkins), former Bellator lightweight tournament winner Marcin Held (who fights Natan Schulte) and contender series alum Brendan Loughnane (who meets UFC vet Sheymon Moraes).
The video of the weigh-ins is presented below. Only one fighter failed to miss their mark. Mikhail Odintsov came in .4 lbs heavy and will forfeit a 20 percent of his purse and lose a point in the PFL season standings.
