A Welterweight fight between Logan Storley and Omar Hussein — which was set to go down on the “Prelims” portion of the Bellator 258 event tonight (Fri., May 7, 2021) has been canceled. According to MMA Fighting, Hussein was not medically cleared to compete and officials had no choice but to pull the bout at the last hour.

The fight was set to be Hussein’s Bellator debut after going 3-1 in his last four fights under the ADW banner. Overall, “187” is 7-3 in his mixed martial arts (MMA) career.

Storley, meanwhile, was looking to get back in the win column after suffering the first loss of his career at Bellator 252 against No. 1 ranked Yaroslav Amosov. Prior to that defeat, Storley was on an 11-fight win streak, including six wins inside the Bellator cage.

Bellator 258 will be headlined by a Bantamweight title fight between division champion Juan Archuleta and Sergio Pettis. In further action, Anthony Johnson takes on Jose Augusto in a Light Heavyweight Grand Prix bout, while Michael Page takes on Derek Anderson.

Bellator 258’s main card will air on Showtime at 9 p.m. ET. MMAmania.com will deliver results for the full card and comprehensive play-by-play for the televised portion of Bellator 258 below.
