Check out the midweek betting odds for Saturday’s UFC 262 event, where Charles Oliveira is favored over Michael Chandler to become the new lightweight champion.

It’s PPV time this weekend when UFC 262 kicks off from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. The top of the card will will fill a giant void left at 155-pounds when the #3 ranked, Charles Oliveira, collides with former Bellator champ, Michael Chandler. Bloody Elbow is here to bring you the midweek betting odds for this crowning of a new UFC lightweight champion, and for the rest of the UFC 262 lineup.

The oddsmakers are siding with Oliveira here to get the job done and become a world champion. With a slightly favored moneyline of -135. a successful $100 bet on Charles will see a total return of $174.07. As for the Chandler, he finds himself as the betting underdog for the second time in a row. At a value of +115, a winning wager on Michael will stands to make $115, plus your initial $100 back.

Chandler came over to the UFC from Bellator on a two-fight winning streak, and then only spent half-a-round dispatching of Dan Hooker in his promotional debut — as an underdog. Oliveira is currently riding a crazy eight-fight wining streak that dates back to June of 2018. So, both men are quite deserving, and bring very different styles to the table.

Charles has grown some slick Muay Thai over the years, and his Jits has always been wicked. Although Chandler is a beast wrestler with lethal hooks, the technical edge seems to sit with “Do Bronx.” In the past, we’ve seen Oliveira get hurt in fights and get… weird… so the toughness edge goes to Chandler. Considering such a different clash of styles — and masters of their respective styles at that — it’s not surprising to see this betting line as tight as it is.
