The latest UFC roster cuts and contract non-renewals have been revealed.
The UFC has cut or not renewed the contracts of several of its fighters in recent days, including heavyweight Maurice Greene. MMA Fighting has confirmed the departures of nine more fighters, with one of them having recently been suspended by USADA for two years.

Anthony Birchak (UFC record: 2-4)
Yorgan De Castro (UFC record: 1-3)
Aalon Cruz (UFC record: 0-2)
Bartosz Fabinski (UFC record: 3-3)
Jordan Griffin (UFC record: 1-4)
Justine Kish (UFC record: 3-4)
Oskar Piechota (UFC record: 2-3, 1 NC)
Luke Sanders (UFC record: 3-5)
Everyone on this list had been on at least a two-fight losing streak, and none of them was ranked. For Birchak this is the second time he’s been cut by the promotion, having gone 0-2 since he was brought back last year.
Piechota has not fought since a KO loss to Marc-Andre Barriault last June, but he wouldn’t have been able to fight in the UFC until the summer of 2022 after his recent 22-month USADA suspension for the banned substance GHRP-2. Losing a lot and getting popped for PEDs is not a combination that will lead to roster security.
De Castro’s release was known last week and coupled with Greene mean that every fighter who’s loss to Greg Hardy in the UFC has eventually been cut. I think that says all you need to know right there about Hardy’s strength of victory.
All things considered, no surprises to be found on this list of cuts and even those who are out of contract and not formally released don’t appear to be candidates for re-signing.
