UFC 262 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the third episode for this weekend’s big show in Texas, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.

We start up in Michael Chandler’s room at the athlete hotel. He does a light workout. Former UFC fighter Demarques Johnson says that this was Chandler’s best camp yet, and describes his best attributes.

Beneil Dariush grabs a coffee and gets his fight kit. Katlyn Chookagian arrives in Houston. The last time she fought in front of a crowd was in Houston as well. She still wants her shot at Valentina Shevchenko, so she has to beat Viviane Araujo first. Edson Barboza doesn’t really like flying but it’s a necessity to get there.

Chandler goes for a run outside. He was always wanted to be the headliner on a UFC Countdown special, and now he is. It’s still just a fight.

Chookagian gets her fight kit. Shane Burgos arrives at the hotel. He hasn’t fought in 11 months. He’s been watching opponent Barboza since he was in high school, and he’s super excited. He’s trying to figure out whether to braid his hair or cut it off before the fight. Chandler sees Burgos and calls him his favorite fighter on the roster. They happily greet each other before Chandler goes to try on his gear. He pulls the pants up high, “Daniel Cormier style” which gets a laugh.

And that’s it! UFC 262 goes down Saturday night in Houston.
