Jorge Masvidal takes in one-on-one and tag-team bare-knuckle backyard MMA ahead of Gamebred Fighting Championship debut.

Jorge Masvidal promises chaotic action in preparation for the premiere of Gamebred Fighting Championship.

In a new teaser posted by SB Nation’s Combat Culture (watch above), Masvidal travels to an undisclosed location in Miami to scout backyard bareknuckle fighters competing in one-on-one and tag-team action.

“I don’t always jump on private jets and go to STREETBEEFS, but this one’s supposed to be legendary,” Masvidal teases. “We need to keep these things under the hush-hush, so we’re headed to an undisclosed location.”

“I’ve seen a lot of fights and these ones, I promise you, are violent,” he continues. “Let’s see who’s Gamebred, who’s really game. I’m looking for the same thing you’re looking for at home. Violence.”

The first Gamebred Fighting Championship event takes place at the Biloxi Community Center in Biloxi, Mississippi on June 18. The card is headlined by mixed martial arts veterans Jason Knight (21-6, MMA) and Charles Bennett (30-41-2, MMA). The inaugural event is co-headlined by UFC veteran Brok Weaver (16-6, MMA) vs. ex-LFA star Brandon Jenkins (14-7, MMA).

Masvidal (35-15) announced the launch of Gamebred Fighting Championship in late April during the buildup to his UFC 261 main event fight vs. UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman.
