UFC veteran and fan-favorite Nate Diaz issues a response to Francis Ngannou’s recent tweet about fighter pay grievances.
Since he became the UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou has been more vocal about getting paid more. On Sunday, “The Predator” posted a tweet to express his displeasure after YouTuber Logan Paul reportedly made a $20 million payday for doing an exhibition boxing match with Floyd Mayweather Jr.

On the other hand, you have Nate Diaz, a UFC veteran who is finally getting his due payday and recognition. And based on how things played out in his favor, the younger Diaz brother feels he laid out a blueprint that his fellow fighters have yet to follow.
“What is he doing wrong? What is Francis Ngannou doing wrong?” Diaz told Yahoo! Sports’ Kevin Iole in a recent interview. “I’ve been doing more right than all these motherf—rs for years and years. They should’ve been spitting all that ‘I need money’ shit a long time ago like I was.
“I was never no champion, and I was saying ‘F—k you, drop me, let me get some f—ng money cracking.’ And what happened? My stock just raised, anyway, and nobody was jumping on it. Now, they’re like, ‘What are we doing wrong?’ I’m like, ‘You should’ve listened to your daddy years ago, motherf—rs.’ All of you. The whole roster.
“Everybody’s rookies, though. So that’s what you got going. Probably you’re not getting no bag because of how bad you’ve been slacking it.”
After a year and a half on the sidelines, Diaz will make his UFC return this weekend at UFC 263 against the streaking Leon Edwards. It will be the UFC’s first non-headliner five-round fight.
