Anthony Pettis is out of his main event bout against Alexander Martinez at PFL 4.

Former UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis will no longer be competing this Thursday. Originally paired up against Alexander Martinez in PFL 4’s main event, ‘Showtime’, per Ag Fight’s report, has fallen ill and was forced to pull out of the card.

Natan Schulte, who won the last two Professional Fighters League lightweight championships, will step in on short notice to replace Pettis.

However, whatever sickness got Pettis down won’t keep him away for long. PFL confirmed that Anthony is re-scheduled to come back just two weeks later on June 25. His new opponent will be Raush Manfio, Schulte’s original opponent from this Thursday’s show.

In his PFL debut, Pettis (24-11) dropped a unanimous decision to Clay Collard. Before that, the 34-year-old was on a two-fight winning streak, with a couple of unanimous decision victories against Alex Morono and Donald Cerrone, in his last UFC appearances.

PFL 4 is scheduled to take place on June 10, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, with Claressa Shields’ MMA debut against Brittney Elkin promoted to main event. Meanwhile, Anthony Pettis and Raush Manfio are now expected to face each other at PFL 6, which is set to be headlined by a women’s lightweight bout between Kayla Harrison and Cindy Dandois.
