Means will instead fight at UFC Vegas 30 on June 26th.

There’s been a slight adjustment to both this Saturday’s UFC Vegas 29 card as well as next week’s UFC Vegas 30 event.

A welterweight bout between Tim Means and Danny Roberts is no longer happening at UFC Vegas 29. Roberts was pulled from the event due to COVID-19 protocols, but the good news for Means is he does have a new opponent and will only have to wait a week. Officials confirmed on Tuesday that Means will replace the injured Sergey Khandozhko and face Nicolas Dalby on June 26th.

Means (31-12-1) is on a two-fight winning streak, notching decisions over Laureano Staropoli and Mike Perry. Interestingly enough both fights were catchweights as his opponents badly missed weight. He hasn’t had a three-fight winning streak since he rattled off four straight in 2014-2015.

Dalby (19-3-1-2 NCs) is coming off a decision win over Daniel Rodriguez (who’s Means’ most recent loss). The Danish fighter went 1-3 in his first UFC stint before a successful run in Cage Warriors FC. He returned to the UFC in 2019, defeating Alex Oliveira before losing to Jesse Ronson. That Ronson defeat was flipped to a no contest after Ronson popped for a banned substance.

UFC Vegas 29 is headlined by featherweights Dan Ige and Chan Sung Jung, while UFC Vegas 30’s main event is a heavyweight bout between Ciryl Gane and Alexander Volkov.
